Samiksha

Jaipur, India, where artisans engage in age-old traditional crafts such as block printing, gem cutting and embroidery, is a fascinating place to meander round. The colourful bazaars and artisans' quarters come to life in this old city, where in 1876, the late Maharaja insisted the whole city be painted pink, the traditional colour of hospitality.

Our Samiksha range was inspired by relaxing on a rooftop sipping chai and watching the sunset fall over the city's pink walls giving off a glorious rosy hue.

Our duvet cover has a top border of dusky rose, followed by a main section of smooth chocolate, with a dusky rose embroidered paisley pattern, trimmed with cream velvet ribbon.

Our embroidered pillowcases are dusky rose, with a chocolate top panel and embroidered dusky rose, paisley pattern, with cream piping. Our co-ordinating Oxford style pillowcases are dusky rose with a border of chocolate.

Our cushion cover has a main panel of dusky rose silk, bordered with chocolate silk, an embroidered paisley design and hand sewn cream beads, which sparkle and shimmer in the light.

Our curtain panels are chocolate coloured sheer organdie with a border of dusky rose running lengthways, embroidered with a lovely sparkly beaded paisley design. The curtain panel is trimmed with sequins, which shimmer when the light streams through your windows.

The curtain panels are designed as a pair, with the embroidered panel on either the left or right hand side, which meet when the curtains are drawn, but they can also be purchased individually.

So go ahead and dream of those dusky rose sunsets!
